Sunekos is an injectable skin-regeneration treatment that combines non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid with the patented HY6AA complex of six amino acids — glycine, L-proline, L-leucine, L-valine, L-lysine and L-alanine — to make your own fibroblasts produce new collagen and elastin at the same time. It improves skin quality rather than adding volume. Medisha uses Sunekos Performa, the latest-generation formula with a refined amino-acid profile, alongside Sunekos 1200 for deeper facial stimulation. At Medisha Clinic it is performed only by Dr Nish Shah MD, the Official UK Trainer for Sunekos — the practitioner who teaches other UK doctors and nurses how to deliver it.
Performed personally by the Official UK Trainer for Sunekos — 30,000+ non-surgical treatments performed; Dr Nish teaches this treatment to other practitioners, so at Medisha you are treated by the trainer, not the student
Patented HA + six amino acid formula — genuine dermal regeneration, not temporary hydration
Sunekos Performa — the latest-generation formula — for the face, under-eyes, neck and hands; Sunekos 1200 for deeper facial stimulation. Chosen per area, not one-size-fits-all
Course of 4 sessions £1,100 (£350 single) — early change from 7–10 days, peaking at 8–12 weeks, lasting 6–9 months with twice-yearly maintenance
Minimal downtime — small bumps settle within 24 hours. Back to normal life immediately
Delivered using The Medisha Method™ with a course review included; £50 consultation redeemable against treatment

The Treatment
What Is Sunekos?
Sunekos is a patented, CE-marked Class III injectable that combines non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid with HY6AA — a precisely balanced complex of six amino acids: glycine, L-proline, L-leucine, L-valine, L-lysine HCl and L-alanine. Those six are the exact building blocks fibroblasts use to synthesise collagen and elastin, in the ratio that triggers production of both. Injected into the dermis, Sunekos supplies them directly, re-activating fibroblasts to produce collagen types I, III and IV and elastin — the proteins that give young skin its firmness and bounce — and it inhibits hyaluronidase, protecting the skin’s own HA.
That mechanism is why Sunekos sits in a category of its own. Dermal fillers add volume from outside. Standard skin boosters add hyaluronic acid and hydrate. Sunekos rebuilds the supporting structure of the skin from within — the improvement is in the structure of the skin, not on its surface. Medisha uses two formulations: Sunekos Performa, the latest generation with a refined amino-acid profile, for the face, the delicate under-eye area, neck, décolletage and hands. Sunekos 1200, denser, for the face where deeper structural stimulation is needed — often combined with Performa in the first session. Choosing between them is a clinical decision.
The result: firmer, smoother, more elastic skin with softened fine lines — early change from 7–10 days, peaking 8–12 weeks after a course of four, and lasting 6–9 months with maintenance twice a year — with minimal downtime. At Medisha Clinic every session is delivered by Dr Nish Shah MD, the Official UK Trainer for Sunekos, using The Medisha Method™.
The Technique
The Medisha Method™ — Why the Trainer Gets Better Results
The Medisha Method is Dr Nish Shah’s four-step protocol, applied to sunekos as: skin-quality mapping, formulation selection, into the skin micro-injection protocol, and staged course review. Sunekos is technique-sensitive: depth, spacing, formulation and course timing determine whether you get genuine regeneration or a short-lived glow. Dr Nish wrote the protocol he teaches to other UK practitioners. At Medisha he applies it personally.
- Step 1 — Skin-quality mapping. Skin thickness, sagging, texture and hydration are assessed area by area — face, under-eye, neck, décolletage, hands — and photographed under standardised light, so the course is planned against measurable change, not impression.
- Step 2 — Formulation selection. Sunekos Performa or 1200, or both, is chosen per area. Using the denser 1200 under the eyes risks visible small bumps. Using Performa alone on a lax cheek under-treats. Getting this right is the most common difference between a trainer and a trainee.
- Step 3 — Into-the-skin micro-injection protocol. Small, evenly spaced into the skin deposits at the depth where fibroblasts are densest, with the spacing adjusted to the area. Too deep and the amino acids are wasted. Too superficial and small bumps persist.
- Step 4 — Staged course review. Sessions are spaced 1–2 weeks apart and the response is reviewed at each visit, adjusting formulation or spacing for sessions 3 and 4 based on how your skin is responding. A review is included after the course.
- Performed by the Official UK Trainer. Dr Nish Shah MD is certified by the manufacturer to train other UK practitioners in Sunekos — the treatment that won the Innovation & Pioneering Award at the Diamond Awards 2019. At Medisha you receive the protocol from the person who teaches it.
Six Questions to Ask Any Clinic Before Sunekos
Sunekos is now offered by hundreds of UK clinics after a short manufacturer course. Before you book anywhere — including here — ask these six questions.
1. Is the person treating me a specialist in skin-regeneration injectables — or a general injector? At Medisha: Dr Nish Shah MD is the Official UK Trainer for Sunekos, an award-winning doctor, and Brand Ambassador & Key Opinion Leader for dermal fillers.
2. Is that person a medically trained doctor? At Medisha: Yes — Dr Nish Shah MD, every session.
3. Do you use Sunekos Performa, and will you choose between Performa and 1200 for each area? At Medisha: Yes — Medisha uses the latest-generation Performa. Formulation is selected per area at consultation, step 2 of The Medisha Method.
4. Is my course reviewed and adjusted session by session? At Medisha: Yes — step 4 of The Medisha Method, with a review included after the course.
5. Will you tell me if Profhilo, polynucleotides or a combination would suit me better? At Medisha: Yes — Dr Nish performs all three and recommends on your skin, not on what is in stock.
6. Is the price fixed and the course discounted? At Medisha: £350 per session, £1,100 for the course of four, £50 consultation redeemable against it.

Skin regeneration injectables compared
Sunekos vs Profhilo vs Polynucleotides vs Skin Boosters
Patients researching skin-quality injectables in London meet four options that are constantly confused with one another. They work by different mechanisms and suit different skin. Dr Nish performs all of them, which is why his recommendation is based on your skin rather than his stock.

Treatment areas
Areas Treated with Sunekos at Medisha Clinic
Each area is treated as a course of four sessions at £350 per session (£1,100 for the course). Areas can be combined in one session.
Face
Fine lines, crepey texture, dullness and early sagging across the whole face. Sunekos Performa, often with 1200 in the first session for deeper stimulation. The most common starting point for patients in their 30s to 50s.
Under-Eye Area
Sunekos Performa is one of the few injectables safe and effective for thin, crepey under-eye skin and dark circles caused by translucency — without adding volume or risking the blue tint under the skin.
Neck
Horizontal lines and crepey, laxer skin on the neck — an area that ages faster than the face and responds well to Sunekos Performa.
Décolletage
Sun-damaged, thinning chest skin with vertical sleep lines. Often the first place friends notice a difference.
Hands
Thin, veiny, crepey skin on the backs of the hands. Sunekos restores dermal thickness and elasticity where fillers can look lumpy.
Combination with Profhilo
Sunekos for amino-acid regeneration plus Profhilo for deep hydration, in sequence. Dr Nish’s most-requested skin-quality programme. Priced individually.
Suitability
Am I A Good Candidate For Sunekos?
Sunekos suits patients from their late 20s upwards whose concern is the quality of their skin — texture, fine lines, crepey texture, thinning — rather than volume loss. Dr Nish will assess your skin area by area at consultation.
Good Candidates
- Fine lines, crepey texture or dull, tired-looking skin
- Thin under-eye skin, translucency or dark circles from thin skin
- Early sagging on the face, neck or décolletage
- Ageing hands
- Preventative regeneration from the late 20s
- Patients who want improvement without anyone noticing a ‘treatment’
May Not Be Suitable
- Significant volume loss — dermal filler or a combination is more appropriate
- Advanced sagging needing a lift — PDO Thread Lift first
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Active infection, cold sore or inflammatory skin disease in the area
- Known allergy to hyaluronic acid or any of the six amino acids
The best way to know is a consultation with Dr Nish. He will assess your anatomy and goals in person and give you an honest recommendation. The consultation is £50, redeemable in full against treatment, with no obligation to proceed; if you are suitable and would like to go ahead, treatment can be performed the same day.
Step by step
The Sunekos Process
Every sunekos at Medisha Clinic follows The Medisha Method™ — the protocol Dr Nish teaches to other doctors.
Consultation & Skin Mapping
Dr Nish assesses skin quality area by area, photographs under standardised light and agrees which areas, which formulation (Performa, 1200 or both) and how many sessions. £50, redeemable against treatment.
Preparation
The skin is cleansed with antiseptic. You are asked to avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil and vitamin E for 48 hours before each session to reduce bruising.
Topical Anaesthetic (Optional)
Numbing cream can be applied for 20 minutes. Most patients find Sunekos comfortable without it — the needle is ultra-fine and the deposits are tiny.
Micro-Injection Session
Dr Nish places small, evenly spaced into the skin deposits across the mapped area following The Medisha Method. 20–30 minutes. Small bumps are visible immediately and settle within 24 hours.
Sessions 2–4
Sessions are spaced 1–2 weeks apart. At each visit the response is reviewed and the protocol adjusted. Improvement builds cumulatively.
Course Review
Approximately 4 weeks after your final session, when regeneration is well underway, Dr Nish reviews your result against your baseline photographs and advises on maintenance — usually one session every six months.
Transparent Pricing
Sunekos Prices – Mayfair & Marylebone, London
Simple, transparent pricing. The full course of four is the clinically validated protocol and is discounted accordingly. Course review included. No hidden extras. Consultation £50, redeemable in full against treatment. Every treatment performed by Dr Nish personally.

Sunekos Aftercare
— What to Expect
Small bumps at each injection point are normal for up to 24 hours and mild redness for 24–48 hours. Occasional pinpoint bruising settles within a week. You can return to normal activities immediately. Results build gradually — early change from 7–10 days, peaking 8–12 weeks after the course.
Do
- Keep the area clean and apply a gentle moisturiser
- Apply SPF 30+ daily — UV undoes the collagen you are building
- Stay well hydrated
- Take paracetamol if needed (avoid ibuprofen for 24 hours)
- Attend every session in the course on schedule
- Attend your course review
Avoid for 24–48 hours
- Make-up on the treated area for 12 hours
- Touching, rubbing or massaging the injection points
- Strenuous exercise and heavy sweating
- Saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga and sunbeds
- Alcohol
- Active skincare (retinoids, acids, vitamin C) on the area
Clinical Evidence
What the Research Shows
Sunekos is supported by peer-reviewed clinical and skin-sample analysis evidence for its specific amino-acid formula — unusual among skin boosters, most of which rely on generic HA data.
Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology
Patients completing a four-session Sunekos course showed statistically significant improvements in skin elasticity, firmness and wrinkle depth on instrumental measurement, maintained at six-month follow-up.
Skin-sample Studies (Professional Dietetics)
Biopsy analysis after Sunekos demonstrated increased collagen types I, III and IV and new elastin in the dermis at eight weeks — confirming genuine regeneration of the skin’s supporting structure rather than temporary hydration.
Aesthetic Medicine Journal
Comparative data showed the HA + amino-acid combination produced greater fibroblast stimulation than HA of equivalent molecular weight alone, supporting the clinical rationale for the formula.

Sunekos FAQ — Answered by Dr Nish Shah
Medically written and reviewed by Dr Nish Shah MD — Medical Director, Medisha Clinic · Senior International Clinical Trainer, Derma Medical · Brand Ambassador & KOL for Dermal Fillers · Official UK Trainer, Sunekos · Last reviewed 19 September 2026
Sunekos is a patented, CE-marked injectable skin-regeneration treatment that combines non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid with HY6AA, a balanced complex of six amino acids: glycine, L-proline, L-leucine, L-valine, L-lysine HCl and L-alanine. Medisha uses Sunekos Performa, the latest-generation formula, and Sunekos 1200. These six are the precise raw materials the collagen-making cells in your skin need to build collagen and elastin. As we age fibroblasts slow down partly because those raw materials become scarce; Sunekos supplies them directly at the point of need. The result is renewed production of collagen types I, III and IV, elastin and fibronectin. The structural proteins of young skin. Unlike dermal filler it adds no volume, and unlike a standard HA skin booster it does far more than hydrate. Results build over a course of four sessions spaced 1–2 weeks apart: early change in texture and glow from 7–10 days, peak firmness and elasticity 8–12 weeks after the last session, lasting 6–9 months with twice-yearly maintenance. At Medisha Clinic it is delivered using The Medisha Method by Dr Nish Shah MD, the Official UK Trainer for Sunekos.
At Medisha Clinic in Mayfair a single Sunekos session is £350 and the recommended course of four is £1,100 — a £300 saving against individual sessions. Maintenance sessions after a completed course are £350. Consultation with Dr Nish is £50, redeemable in full against treatment, so if you go ahead the consultation costs nothing. A course review is included. The clinic is at 58 South Molton Street, Mayfair, London W1K 5SL, three minutes from Bond Street station.
Four. That is the clinically validated protocol and the one Dr Nish teaches: four sessions spaced 1–2 weeks apart, so each session builds on fibroblast activity stimulated by the last. A single session produces a short-lived improvement in hydration and glow but not the structural regeneration that makes Sunekos worth having. Two or three sessions produce a partial result. After the course of four, a single maintenance session every 6–12 months sustains the result because the collagen scaffold you have built provides a foundation. For the under-eye area or hands, some patients need only three sessions — Dr Nish reviews the response at each visit and will not ask you to have a session you do not need.
Expect the first visible change — better hydration, a healthier glow, slightly smoother texture — around 3–4 weeks after your first session, as fibroblast activity rises. The improvement then builds with each session. Peak results arrive 8–12 weeks after your fourth session, once the new collagen and elastin have matured: this is when firmness, elasticity and fine-line softening are at their best and when your review photographs are taken because the improvement is structural rather than a hydration effect, it lasts longer than a standard skin booster. Typically 6–9 months, varying with age, sun exposure, smoking and skincare, and it is cumulative: a maintenance session every six months keeps you at or near peak and builds on it.
Both are injectable skin-quality treatments. The difference is the mechanism. Profhilo is ultra-pure NAHYCO hyaluronic acid, 64mg per treatment, injected at five points per side and left to spread through the dermis, where it hydrates intensely and triggers bio-remodelling as the tissue responds. It is superb for sagging and dehydration and needs only two sessions four weeks apart, lasting 6–9 months. Sunekos combines HA with six amino acids that fibroblasts use directly to synthesise collagen and elastin. It is injected as many small into the skin deposits, needs four sessions, and produces more targeted regeneration of texture and fine lines, and it is safe under the eyes, where Profhilo is not used. In practice: Profhilo for lax, dehydrated skin; Sunekos for crepey, fine-lined, thin skin and the under-eye area. Many patients benefit from both in sequence. Dr Nish is the Official UK Trainer for Sunekos and performs both, so his recommendation is based on your skin rather than on what he offers.
Sunekos Performa is the latest-generation Sunekos formula and the one Medisha uses for most areas. All Sunekos products pair non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid with HY6AA — the patented six-amino-acid complex. But Performa carries a refined amino-acid profile that the manufacturer’s data show stimulates fibroblasts more effectively than the original Sunekos 200 it supersedes. It is used on the face, the delicate under-eye area, neck, décolletage and hands. Sunekos 1200 is a denser formulation with more hyaluronic acid, used on the face where deeper, more structural stimulation is needed. Often combined with Performa in the first session of a facial course. Using 1200 under the eyes is a common error that causes prolonged small bumps. Using Performa alone on a lax cheek under-treats. Choosing the right formulation for each area is step two of The Medisha Method and one of the main things Dr Nish teaches other practitioners as Official UK Trainer.
Yes — Sunekos Performa is one of the safest and most effective injectables for the under-eye area, and it is one of the main reasons patients come to Medisha for it. The under-eye skin is the thinnest on the face and sits over a dense network of vessels and fluid-drainage channels, which makes dermal filler in this area high-risk and often unsuitable for crepey, translucent skin. Performa adds no volume, so it cannot cause puffiness or the bluish blue tint under the skin. It is placed into the skin, above the vascular danger zone, and it thickens and firms the skin itself, which is what reduces the crepey texture and translucent dark circles. For genuine hollowing (a structural tear trough) filler is still the right tool, and for vascular dark circles polynucleotides may be added. Dr Nish assesses which you have at consultation.
Very little. Immediately after treatment you will have small raised small bumps at each injection point. This is normal and means the product is in the right layer. They flatten within 6–24 hours. Mild redness lasts 24–48 hours and occasional pinpoint bruising settles within a week. Most patients go straight back to work. For 24–48 hours avoid make-up on the area (12 hours), touching or massaging the injection points, strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, sunbeds, alcohol and active skincare such as retinoids or acids. Apply SPF daily. There is no restriction on flying, driving or normal social activities.
Yes, and the best skin-quality results at Medisha usually come from a planned combination. Sunekos with Profhilo in sequence pairs amino-acid regeneration with deep hydration — Dr Nish’s most-requested programme. Sunekos Performa with polynucleotides under the eyes addresses both thin skin and vascular dark circles. Sunekos after a PDO Thread Lift improves the quality of the skin that has been repositioned, so the lift looks better and lasts longer. Sunekos alongside dermal filler treats texture and volume at the same time. Different injectables are usually spaced 2–4 weeks apart rather than given in the same session so each can be assessed on its own; Dr Nish will design the sequence at consultation.
No. Sunekos improves the quality of the skin — its firmness, thickness, elasticity and texture — without adding volume or changing facial shape. That is precisely why it is safe under the eyes and why nobody can tell you have had it: the face looks rested and the skin looks healthier, but the proportions are unchanged. If your concern is lost volume — flattened cheeks, hollow temples, a recessed chin — dermal filler is the right treatment and Sunekos will not replace it. Many patients have both, because ageing skin and lost volume are separate problems. Dr Nish will tell you at consultation which of the two, or which combination, addresses what you are actually seeing.
Sunekos has an excellent safety record: it is CE-marked, naturally accepted by the body, and contains nothing that is not already present in human skin. Expected, temporary effects are small bumps for up to 24 hours, mild redness for 24–48 hours, and occasional pinpoint bruising for up to a week. Uncommon effects include prolonged small bumps (usually from the wrong formulation or depth — avoided by correct technique), swelling lasting a few days, and, rarely, infection at an injection point (prevented by sterile technique). Allergic reaction is very rare because the ingredients are hyaluronic acid and essential amino acids because Sunekos is placed into the skin and adds no volume, the vascular complications associated with dermal filler do not apply in the same way. All risks are discussed at consultation and every session is performed by a medically trained doctor.
One reason above all: Dr Nish Shah MD is the Official UK Trainer for Sunekos. The practitioner the manufacturer certifies to teach other UK doctors and nurses how to deliver it. The treatment that won the Innovation and Pioneering Award at the Diamond Awards 2019. Most clinics offering Sunekos learned it on a short course. At Medisha you are treated by the person who runs the course. Every session is performed by Dr Nish personally using The Medisha Method, with the formulation (Performa or 1200) chosen for each area and the course reviewed session by session. He is also a medically trained doctor, Senior International Clinical Trainer at Derma Medical. Brand Ambassador and Key Opinion Leader for dermal fillers, and performs Profhilo and polynucleotides too, so his recommendation is based on your skin, not his stock. Course of four £1,100; £50 consultation redeemable. 58 South Molton Street, Mayfair, London W1K 5SL, three minutes from Bond Street. Also Marylebone.
