Chin & Jawline Filler London – Jaw Filler & Profile Balancing by Dr Nish Shah MD, 6,000+ Nose Fillers

Chin and jawline filler defines the jaw, projects the chin and balances the whole profile with structural hyaluronic acid placed directly on the bone. The chin and jaw are the anchors of the lower face: a weak chin makes any nose look larger. A soft jawline makes the face look heavier and older. Results are immediate and last 12–18 months. At Medisha Clinic it is performed only by Dr Nish Shah MD using The Medisha Method™. He is a medically trained doctor, specialist in profile harmonisation and non-surgical rhinoplasty, Brand Ambassador & Key Opinion Leader for dermal fillers, and the international trainer who teaches this procedure to other doctors. Chin, jaw and nose can be balanced together in one session as the Profile Balancing Package.

The Treatment

What Is Chin & Jawline Filler?

Chin and jawline filler is the placement of structural hyaluronic acid on the jawbone and chin to define the jaw angle, sharpen the jawline, project the chin and balance the profile. Filler at the jaw angles adds width and definition behind the ear. Along the jawline it draws a clean line between face and neck. In the notch in front of the jowl it fills the notch that makes an early jowl visible. On the chin it adds forward projection or vertical length.

The reason to treat these areas together is proportion. In profile the eye reads the nose, chin and jaw as one line: a recessed chin makes a normal nose look large, and projecting it can ‘shrink’ a nose that was never the problem. A soft jawline reads as weight and age even in a slim, young face. This is why Dr Nish — who has performed over 6,000 non-surgical rhinoplasties — assesses the nose, chin and jaw together, and why the Profile Balancing Package treats all three in one session.

The result: a defined jaw, a projected chin and a balanced profile the moment the procedure ends, settling at two weeks, lasting 12–18 months, fully reversible. The approach is tailored: refinement for a feminine result, angularity for a masculine one, proportion for everyone. At Medisha Clinic it is performed exclusively by Dr Nish Shah MD using The Medisha Method™. He is a medically trained doctor, specialist in profile harmonisation and non-surgical rhinoplasty, Brand Ambassador & Key Opinion Leader for dermal fillers, and the international trainer who teaches this procedure to other doctors.

The Technique

The Medisha Method™ — Why the Chin Is Assessed Before the Nose

The Medisha Method is Dr Nish Shah’s four-step protocol, applied to chin & jawline filler as: three-angle profile mapping with the nose in frame, deep placement on the bone, small, checked deposits delivery, and live multi-angle recontouring. Most patients who come in about their nose have a chin that is doing the damage, and most patients who come in about their jaw are being let down by their chin. The Medisha Method looks at the whole profile before a single deposit is placed.

  • Step 1 — Three-angle profile mapping with the nose in frame. Front, three-quarter and true profile, with the nose, lips and neck in every photograph. Dr Nish measures chin projection against the lip line and nose tip, jaw angle definition, and the lower facial third against the upper two — and tells you which structure is actually out of proportion.
  • Step 2 — Deep placement on the bone. Structural, firm, cohesive HA placed directly on the bone of the jawbone and chin, beneath the muscle. This is what gives a jawline its edge and a chin its projection, and it keeps the product away from the facial artery as it crosses the jaw.
  • Step 3 — Small, checked deposits. Small checked deposits at the jaw angles, along the border, in the notch in front of the jowl and on the chin as the map dictates — never fanned through soft tissue, which is what produces a heavy or lumpy jaw.
  • Step 4 — Live multi-angle recontouring. Reassessed from all three angles and while you speak and smile after every deposit. The end point is a jaw that looks like bone and a chin in proportion to the nose — a masculine edge or a feminine refinement as agreed, never a shelf.
  • Structural HA only, reversible, and only a doctor. Hyaluronidase is on site. Dr Nish teaches this exact protocol, alongside non-surgical rhinoplasty, to other doctors as Senior International Clinical Trainer at Derma Medical.

Six Questions to Ask Any Clinic Before Chin & Jaw Filler

Jawline filler is one of the fastest-growing treatments in London and one of the most frequently overdone. Before you book anywhere — including here — ask these six questions.

1. Is the person performing my procedure an absolute specialist in profile harmonisation — not a general injector? At Medisha: Dr Nish Shah MD is a medically trained doctor, specialist in profile harmonisation and non-surgical rhinoplasty, Brand Ambassador & Key Opinion Leader for dermal fillers, and the international trainer who teaches this procedure to other doctors, and creator of The Medisha Method.

2. Is that person a medically trained doctor? At Medisha: Yes — Dr Nish Shah MD, every time.

3. Will you assess my nose, chin and jaw together before deciding what to treat? At Medisha: Yes — step 1 of The Medisha Method. The nose is in every photograph.

4. Is the filler placed deep on bone, checking each deposit is clear of blood vessels, and is it a structural HA? At Medisha: Yes — steps 2 and 3; structural, reversible HA only.

5. Is hyaluronidase on site? At Medisha: Yes — at every appointment.

6. Is the price per ml fixed, with a package for chin, jaw and nose together and a review included? At Medisha: 1ml £350, 2ml £600, 3ml £850; Profile Balancing Package from £750; 4-week review included; £50 consultation redeemable.

Chin & Jaw Filler vs Threads vs Chin Implant vs Doing the Nose Alone

Patients unhappy with their profile are steered towards four different answers, and clinics tend to recommend whichever they offer. Dr Nish performs three of them and refers for the fourth — and, unusually, he will tell a rhinoplasty patient when the chin is the real issue.

Chin & Jaw Filler — At Medisha

  • Defines jaw, projects chin, balances profile
  • Structural HA deep on bone
  • Immediate; 12–18 months. Reversible
  • Masculine or feminine as agreed
  • From £350; with nose from £750

PDO Thread Jowl Lift

  • Repositions sagging jowl tissue
  • Barbed threads under the skin
  • Immediate; 12–18 months
  • For descent rather than lack of bone
  • £750; also by Dr Nish

Chin Implant / Chin Surgery

  • Permanent chin projection
  • Surgery under general anaesthetic
  • 2–3 weeks downtime
  • Permanent, not adjustable
  • £5,000–£9,000; referred on

Nose Alone

  • Treats the nose in isolation
  • Often what patients ask for
  • Leaves the real imbalance untreated
  • A recessed chin still makes the nose look large
  • Dr Nish assesses the profile as a whole

The Profile Balancing Package exists because chin, jaw and nose are one line in profile. Dr Nish will set out at consultation which of the three — or which combination — is actually out of proportion.

What it corrects

What Chin & Jawline Filler Can Correct at Medisha Clinic

Priced per millilitre: 1ml £350, 2ml £600, 3ml £850. The Profile Balancing Package adds the nose from £750. All include the 4-week review.

Weak or Recessed Chin

Forward projection or vertical length restored so the chin sits in proportion to the lips and nose. The single correction that most often makes a nose look smaller.

Soft, Undefined Jawline

A clean edge drawn along the jawline and at the angle behind the ear, separating face from neck. Subtle refinement or sculpted definition.

Early Jowls

Filler in the notch in front of the jowl fills the notch that makes a small jowl visible, restoring a straight jawline. Established jowls are combined with threads.

Masculinisation

Angular jaw definition, a wider lower face and a strong, squared chin. The chin–jaw combination is the most powerful non-surgical masculinising treatment.

Feminisation

A refined, tapering jawline and a softly projected chin that improve balance without adding width or angularity.

Profile Balancing – from £750

Nose, chin and jaw treated together in one session. Dr Nish’s signature programme, built on 6,000+ non-surgical rhinoplasties.

Suitability

Am I A Good Candidate For Chin & Jawline Filler?

Chin and jawline filler suits patients whose profile is let down by a weak chin or a soft jaw — and many who came in thinking the problem was their nose. Dr Nish will map your whole profile before recommending it.

Good Candidates

  • A recessed or short chin — especially if you feel your nose looks big in profile
  • A soft, undefined or ‘heavy’ jawline
  • Early jowling with a notch in front of it
  • Wanting a stronger, more angular lower face
  • Wanting a more refined, tapered jaw and balanced chin
  • Anyone considering rhinoplasty who has not had the chin assessed

May Not Be Suitable

  • A wide, square jaw from muscle bulk — masseter injections are the treatment
  • Established jowls with significant descent — threads first or alongside
  • Severe chin recession needing bone surgery (rare. Discussed honestly)
  • Active infection, dental abscess or inflammatory skin disease in the area
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

The best way to know is a consultation with Dr Nish. He will assess your anatomy and goals in person and give you an honest recommendation. The consultation is £50, redeemable in full against treatment, with no obligation to proceed; if you are suitable and would like to go ahead, treatment can be performed the same day.

Step by step

The Chin & Jawline Filler Process

Every chin & jawline filler at Medisha Clinic follows The Medisha Method™ — the protocol Dr Nish teaches to other doctors.

01

Consultation & Profile Mapping

Dr Nish maps your profile from three angles with the nose in frame, measures chin projection and jaw definition against the rest of the face, and tells you which structure is out of proportion. £50, redeemable against treatment.

02

Preparation

Skin cleansed with antiseptic and the bony points marked. Avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil and vitamin E for 5–7 days beforehand. Disclose any dental or jaw procedures.

Clinical Evidence

What the Research Shows

Lower-face filler is well evidenced, and the literature supports both the structural, on-bone approach and the principle of treating the profile as a whole.

Aesthetic Surgery Journal

Structural HA to the chin and jawline produced significant improvement in lower-facial definition and profile harmony with patient satisfaction above 90% at twelve months.

Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology

Chin augmentation with firm, cohesive HA achieved projection comparable to surgical chin surgery for mild to moderate deficiency, with full reversibility and minimal downtime.

Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

Facial-measurement studies confirm that chin projection strongly influences perceived nasal size, supporting combined assessment and treatment of the nose and chin for profile balance.

Chin & Jawline Filler FAQ — Answered by Dr Nish Shah

Medically written and reviewed by Dr Nish Shah MD — Medical Director, Medisha Clinic · Senior International Clinical Trainer, Derma Medical · Brand Ambassador & KOL for Dermal Fillers · Official UK Trainer, Sunekos · Last reviewed 19 September 2026

Chin and jawline filler is the placement of structural hyaluronic acid on the jawbone and chin to define the jaw angle, sharpen the line between face and neck, project the chin and balance the profile. Filler at the jaw angles adds definition behind the ear. Along the jawline it draws a clean jawline. In the notch in front of the jowl it fills the notch that makes an early jowl visible. On the chin it adds forward projection or vertical length. The chin and jaw are the anchors of the lower face — a recessed chin makes any nose look large and a soft jaw makes the face read as heavier and older, which is why they are assessed together with the nose. Results are immediate, settle at two weeks, last 12–18 months and are fully reversible. At Medisha Clinic every treatment is performed by Dr Nish Shah MD, a profile harmonisation specialist with over 6,000 non-surgical rhinoplasties, using The Medisha Method.

At Medisha Clinic in Mayfair, chin and jawline filler is priced per millilitre: 1ml £350, 2ml £600, 3ml £850, using structural reversible HA, with a complimentary 4-week review and any refinement included. The Profile Balancing Package — nose, chin and jaw in one session — is £750 for 2ml, £1,000 for 3ml, £1,250 for 4ml and £1,500 for 5ml. Consultation with Dr Nish is £50, fully redeemable against treatment, so if you go ahead it costs nothing. The clinic is at 58 South Molton Street, Mayfair, London W1K 5SL, three minutes from Bond Street station.

Usually less than clinics quote, because structural HA placed on bone is far more efficient than soft filler fanned through tissue. As a guide: 1ml sharpens the jaw angles or projects the chin on its own; 2ml treats chin and jaw together and is the commonest choice; 3ml gives full lower-face definition for a strong masculinisation result or a heavier lower face. Adding the nose as the Profile Balancing Package typically needs 2–3ml in total across all three areas. Volumes above 3ml in one session are rarely appropriate. Dr Nish maps your profile at consultation and recommends a volume. He will not sell you more, and the 4-week review exists so anything further is added later rather than over-corrected on the day.

It is nose, chin and jawline filler in a single session, priced from £750 for 2ml to £1,500 for 5ml, and it exists because those three structures are one line in profile. A recessed chin makes a normal nose look large. A soft jaw makes a balanced chin look weak. Treating one in isolation often leaves the real imbalance untouched. Dr Nish — who has performed over 6,000 non-surgical rhinoplasties — maps the whole profile first and distributes the filler where it is actually needed. This frequently means less on the nose and more on the chin than the patient expected. The result is a profile in proportion rather than three areas each ‘done’. It is also the most cost-effective route to treating the nose, and everything is reversible.

Yes, and it is one of the most useful things a profile specialist can tell a rhinoplasty patient. In profile, the eye judges the nose against the chin: a chin that sits behind the lip line makes a perfectly average nose project further than it should. No amount of nose filler will correct that because the nose was never the problem. Projecting the chin by a few millimetres with structural filler on bone brings the lower face forward to meet the nose, and the nose immediately reads as smaller and better proportioned without being touched. Dr Nish assesses this at every rhinoplasty consultation. In many patients the answer is chin filler alone, and in most the best result is both, as the Profile Balancing Package.

It can significantly reduce early jowls and disguise mild ones. It cannot lift established ones. An early jowl is visible mainly because of the notch in front of it. The notch in front of the jowl, and filling that notch with structural HA on the jawline restores a straight jawline so the jowl no longer breaks the line. Sharpening the jaw angle behind it adds to the effect. Where the jowl is a genuine descent of tissue rather than a notch, filler adds bulk to a face that needs lifting, and the right treatment is a PDO thread lift, which Dr Nish also performs. Usually with filler afterwards to refine the edge. He will tell you at consultation which you have.

Yes, and the placement is different. For a feminine result the aim is refinement rather than width: a clean, tapering line along the jawline, a softly projected chin that balances the nose and lips, and definition at the angle without squaring it. Volumes are usually 1–2ml. For a masculine result the aim is angularity: a wider, more defined jaw angles, a squarer and more projected chin and a stronger horizontal jawline, usually 2–3ml. The same structural, on-bone, minimum-volume principles apply to both. The shape comes from where the filler sits, not how much is used. Dr Nish designs the placement for the result you want at consultation.

Typically 12–18 months, at the longer end for structural HA placed on bone: the chin and jaw are static structures and the product is not worked by muscle the way lip or fold filler is. Longevity varies with the product, your metabolism and lifestyle factors such as intense exercise. A second treatment often lasts longer because some structural scaffold persists. When the effect fades a smaller top-up restores it because Dr Nish uses only reversible HA, the filler can also be dissolved at any point.

Most patients describe pressure rather than pain. The jaw angle can be slightly more sensitive than the chin. Topical anaesthetic is applied for 15–20 minutes and the structural filler contains lidocaine. Downtime is short: the result is visible immediately, most patients return to work the next day, mild swelling and tenderness settle within 3–5 days. The area may feel firm to the touch for a few weeks as the filler integrates. Bruising, if any, clears within a week. The result is considered final at two weeks. For two weeks avoid pressure on the jaw, sleeping on your side, dental work if it can wait and tight straps or masks. For 48 hours avoid vigorous exercise, alcohol and heat.

Yes. It is the lower half of every facial harmonisation programme. Chin and jaw with the nose is the Profile Balancing Package. Chin and jaw with cheeks is the full structural programme and the basis of masculinisation and feminisation. Jawline filler after a PDO thread lift refines the edge of a lifted jaw. Jawline filler with masseter anti-wrinkle injections slims a wide angle and sharpens the edge at the same time. Filler and threads are usually spaced 2–4 weeks apart; Dr Nish designs the sequence at consultation.

In specialist hands the chin and jaw are among the safer filler areas, because the placement is deep on bone. But the facial artery crosses the jaw in front of the masseter and the mental artery exits the chin, and the injector has to know exactly where. Expected, temporary effects: swelling and tenderness for 3–5 days, firmness for a few weeks, bruising for up to a week. Uncommon risks: asymmetry (assessed and adjusted at the 4-week review). Over-filling or a heavy, square result where refinement was wanted (avoided by mapping and conservative volume). Migration (a soft-product problem, avoided by structural HA on bone). Infection (rare. Sterile technique, and dental infections are screened for), and a blocked blood vessel — rare, minimised by checking for blood vessels, small deposits, reversible HA and hyaluronidase on site. Warning signs are skin blanching or mottling or disproportionate pain, and Dr Nish provides his direct number for the first 48 hours.

Because the lower face rewards an injector who sees the whole profile, and Dr Nish has assessed more profiles than almost anyone in London. He is a medically trained doctor, a profile harmonisation specialist who has performed over 6,000 non-surgical rhinoplasties, Brand Ambassador and Key Opinion Leader for dermal fillers with a global manufacturer.
