Dermal Fillers for Men London – Jawline, Chin & Nose by Male Aesthetics Specialist Dr Nish Shah MD, Mayfair

Dermal fillers for men are not women’s fillers in smaller doses — they are structural hyaluronic acid placed on bone to sharpen the jaw, project the chin, straighten the nose and restore the midface and under-eyes without softening a single masculine line. The most common failure in male filler is a doctor applying a feminising template. The result is a rounder, puffier face that reads as ‘done’. At Medisha Clinic every male treatment is performed by Dr Nish Shah MD using The Medisha Method™ mapped against male proportion norms. He is a medically trained doctor, specialist in male facial filler and profile harmonisation, Brand Ambassador & Key Opinion Leader for dermal fillers, and the international trainer who teaches these procedures to other doctors. Results are immediate, undetectable as treatment, and last 12–18 months.

The Treatment

What Are Dermal Fillers for Men?

Dermal fillers for men use structural hyaluronic acid, placed directly on bone, to build or restore the features that read as masculine — a defined jaw angle, a forward chin, a straight nasal line, a flat, high cheek plane and a firm under-eye. Nothing is softened or rounded. The aim is a stronger version of the same face. HA is the body’s own molecule, integrates with tissue, lasts 12–18 months on bone, and dissolves completely with hyaluronidase if ever wanted.

Male and female faces age and are enhanced differently. Men have heavier bone, thicker skin, more sebaceous tissue and a wider, squarer lower face. They lose definition at the jaw angle and chin earlier than they lose volume in the cheeks. A feminising filler pattern — high round cheeks, a tapered chin, softened jaw — applied to a man produces the puffy, over-done look that keeps men away from clinics. The male pattern is the opposite: outer projection at the jaw angle, forward and squared projection at the chin, a straight bridge on the nose, cheek volume kept flat and high. Under-eye correction that is conservative to the point of invisibility.

The result: a jaw with an edge, a chin in proportion to the nose, a straight profile and a rested under-eye — visible immediately, settled at two weeks, lasting 12–18 months. Unidentifiable as treatment. At Medisha Clinic every male filler treatment is performed by Dr Nish Shah MD using The Medisha Method™. He is a medically trained doctor, specialist in male facial filler and profile harmonisation, Brand Ambassador & Key Opinion Leader for dermal fillers, and the international trainer who teaches these procedures to other doctors.

The Technique

The Medisha Method™ — Why Male Filler Fails When It Follows a Female Template

The Medisha Method is Dr Nish Shah’s four-step protocol, applied to dermal fillers for men as: three-angle mapping against male proportion norms, structural product selection, deep on-bone placement checking each deposit is clear of blood vessels, and live recontouring in movement. Most filler training, most before-and-after libraries and most injectors’ instincts are built on female faces. The Medisha Method for men starts from male proportion norms — and Dr Nish has spent 6,000-plus noses learning exactly where the male profile line should sit.

  • Step 1 — Three-angle mapping against male norms. Front, three-quarter and profile assessment measured against male proportions: jaw angles close to 90–110°, chin at or slightly ahead of the lower lip, a straight or very slightly convex bridge of the nose, and a cheekbone width that does not exceed the jaw. The gap between where you are and the male norm is the plan — not a feature-by-feature wish list.
  • Step 2 — Structural product selection. Men need firmer, higher-G′ HA than women in almost every area, because heavier tissue flattens soft gel. A firm, cohesive structural HA for jaw, chin and cheek. A high-lift HA for the nose. A low-swelling HA under the eye. Soft lip-type filler in a male jaw is the single commonest cause of the ‘puffy’ result.
  • Step 3 — Deep on-bone placement checking each deposit is clear of blood vessels. Filler goes onto the bone — the jawbone, the chin, the cheekbone, the nasal bones — in small checked deposits. This gives edge and projection rather than roundness, lasts longer, and keeps the product away from the facial artery.
  • Step 4 — Live recontouring in movement. Reassessed from all three angles and while you talk, clench and smile after every deposit. The end point is a face that looks like it trained harder and slept better — never one that looks filled.
  • Reversible HA, hyaluronidase on site, discreet, and only a doctor. Nothing permanent is ever used. Appointments are private and the clinic is unmarked from the street. Dr Nish teaches this protocol to other doctors as Senior International Clinical Trainer at Derma Medical.

Six Questions to Ask Any Clinic Before Male Filler

Men’s filler is the fastest-growing segment in London aesthetics and most of it is being placed by injectors trained on female faces. Before you book anywhere — including here — ask these six questions.

1. Is the person treating me a specialist in male facial filler and profile — not a general injector? At Medisha: Dr Nish Shah MD is a medically trained doctor, specialist in male facial filler and profile harmonisation, Brand Ambassador & Key Opinion Leader for dermal fillers, and the international trainer who teaches these procedures to other doctors, and creator of The Medisha Method.

2. Is that person a medically trained doctor? At Medisha: Yes — Dr Nish Shah MD, every time.

3. Will you map my face against male proportion norms before deciding where filler goes? At Medisha: Yes — step 1 of The Medisha Method. The plan is the gap between your face and the male norm.

4. Do you use firmer structural filler for men, placed on bone, checking each deposit is clear of blood vessels? At Medisha: Yes — steps 2 and 3; never soft filler in a male jaw.

5. Is hyaluronidase on site and is everything reversible? At Medisha: Yes — reversible HA only, hyaluronidase at every appointment.

6. Is pricing per ml fixed with a review included? At Medisha: From £350 per ml or area, 4-week review included; £50 consultation redeemable.

Men’s treatments compared

Fillers vs Anti-Wrinkle vs PDO Threads vs Surgery for Men

Men asking for ‘a stronger jaw’ or ‘less tired’ are steered to four different treatments. Dr Nish performs the first three and refers for the fourth, so the recommendation follows your face rather than the clinic’s menu.

Treatment areas

Dermal Filler Treatment Areas for Men at Medisha Clinic

Each area has its own product and plane. All prices include the 4-week review. Nose, chin and jaw together are the Profile Balancing Package from £750.

Jawline – from £350

Lateral projection at the jaw angle and a clean line along the jawbone — the single most requested male treatment. Squared, not tapered.

Chin – from £350

Forward and squared projection to bring the chin level with the lips and make the nose read smaller. The commonest missing piece in a male profile.

Nose – £450

A straight bridge and a tip that is not over-rotated. 6,000+ non-surgical rhinoplasties. The male nose is left strong, not cute.

Under-Eye – £450

The ‘less tired’ request. Teosyal Redensity 2 on bone by cannula (a blunt-tipped tube, not a needle), deliberately conservative — no puffiness, no shine.

Cheeks & Temples – from £350

Flat, high, outer cheek support and temple hollowing corrected — restoring structure lost with training, weight loss or age without adding roundness.

Profile Balancing – from £750

Nose, chin and jaw treated as one line in a single session. Dr Nish’s signature male programme.

Suitability

Am I A Good Candidate For Dermal Fillers (Men)?

Male filler suits men who want a stronger jaw or chin, a straighter nose, or to look less tired — and who want nobody to be able to tell. Dr Nish will map your face against male norms before recommending anything.

Good Candidates

  • A soft or undefined jawline, or a weak chin
  • A nose with a bump or a drooping tip that dominates your profile
  • Tired-looking under-eyes despite sleep
  • Hollowing at the temples or cheeks after weight loss or heavy training
  • Wanting results that look like better genetics, not treatment
  • Men in their late 20s to 60s

May Not Be Suitable

  • A wide, square jaw from muscle bulk — masseter anti-wrinkle injections instead
  • Sagging jowls with little volume loss — PDO threads first
  • Active skin infection, folliculitis or recent shave rash in the area
  • Expecting permanent results — only reversible HA is used
  • Pregnancy is not applicable. All other medical exclusions discussed at consultation

The best way to know is a consultation with Dr Nish. He will assess your anatomy and goals in person and give you an honest recommendation. The consultation is £50, redeemable in full against treatment, with no obligation to proceed; if you are suitable and would like to go ahead, treatment can be performed the same day.

Clinical Evidence

What the Research Shows

Male aesthetic medicine is now a distinct discipline in the peer-reviewed literature, with consensus guidance on how male placement should differ from female.

Aesthetic Surgery Journal — Male Consensus

International consensus on aesthetic treatment of men recommends structural, on-bone HA with emphasis on outer jaw, chin projection and flat cheek contour, and warns against transferring female injection patterns to male faces.

Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology

Men treated with higher-G′ structural fillers on the jawbone and chin reported significantly higher satisfaction and longer duration than those treated with standard soft-tissue fillers.

Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

Facial-measurement studies confirm chin projection as the strongest single determinant of perceived masculinity and of perceived nasal size in profile, supporting combined nose–chin assessment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Dermal Fillers for Men FAQ — Answered by Dr Nish Shah

Medically written and reviewed by Dr Nish Shah MD — Medical Director, Medisha Clinic · Senior International Clinical Trainer, Derma Medical · Brand Ambassador & KOL for Dermal Fillers · Official UK Trainer, Sunekos · Last reviewed 19 September 2026

Dermal fillers for men are structural hyaluronic acid gels placed on bone to build or restore masculine structure. A defined jaw angle, a forward chin, a straight nasal line, a flat high cheek plane and a firm under-eye — without softening or rounding the face. The difference from female filler is not the volume but the pattern, the product and the plane. Men have heavier bone, thicker skin and a wider lower face, and they lose definition at the jaw and chin before they lose cheek volume. The male aesthetic is angular and forward, where the female is curved and lifted. A feminising template applied to a man — high round cheeks, tapered chin, softened jaw — produces the puffy ‘done’ look that keeps men away from clinics. At Medisha Clinic every male filler treatment is performed by Dr Nish Shah MD using The Medisha Method mapped against male proportion norms: firmer structural HA, placed deep on bone, in the minimum volume for a result nobody can identify. Results are immediate and last 12–18 months.

At Medisha Clinic in Mayfair, men pay exactly the same per-ml prices as everyone else. There is no male premium. Jawline or chin filler is £350 for 1ml, £600 for 2ml and £850 for 3ml. Non-surgical rhinoplasty is £450; tear trough (under-eye) filler is £450; cheek or temple filler is £350 for 1ml. The Profile Balancing Package — nose, chin and jaw in one session — runs from £750 for 2ml to £1,500 for 5ml, and a full masculinisation programme (cheeks, chin and jaw) is quoted at consultation. Every price includes a complimentary 4-week review with any refinement. Consultation with Dr Nish is £50, fully redeemable against treatment. The clinic is at 58 South Molton Street, Mayfair, London W1K 5SL, three minutes from Bond Street station.

Not when it is placed for a male face, and that is the whole discipline. The feminine or over-done look comes from three errors: a feminising placement pattern (round front cheeks, tapered chin, softened jaw), soft lip-type filler that spreads and puffs in heavy male tissue, and volume added where structure was needed. The Medisha Method for men reverses all three: the plan is the gap between your face and male proportion norms, the product is a firm structural HA. It is placed on bone in small checked deposits so the change is edge and projection, not roundness. Dr Nish reassesses from three angles and while you talk and clench after every deposit. The intended result is a face that looks like it trained harder and slept better, and if you have been over-filled elsewhere, it can be dissolved and re-treated correctly.

At Medisha, in order: jawline and chin (by a distance the most requested — men want a stronger lower face far more than fuller cheeks). Non-surgical rhinoplasty (a bump or a drooping tip that dominates the profile). Under-eye filler (‘I look tired’), and temple or cheek filler after weight loss or years of heavy training have hollowed the upper face. Increasingly men have nose, chin and jaw together as the Profile Balancing Package, because the chin is so often the real reason the nose looks large. Lips are rarely requested by men and, when they are, the goal is definition rather than volume.

Yes. This is the single most effective use of filler in men. Structural HA placed on the bone at the jaw angles (behind the ear) adds outer projection and squares the angle. Filler along the jawline draws a clean line between face and neck, and chin filler squares and projects the chin so the whole lower face reads as stronger. Typically 1ml sharpens the angles, 2ml treats chin and jaw together (the commonest choice), and 3ml gives full lower-face definition. The result is immediate, lasts 12–18 months on bone, and because a firm product is placed deep — looks like bone, not filler. If your jaw is wide from muscle rather than weak in bone, masseter anti-wrinkle injections are the treatment instead, and Dr Nish will tell you which you need.

Very often, yes, and it is the most useful thing a profile specialist can tell a man asking about his nose. In profile, the eye judges the nose against the chin: a chin that sits behind the lower lip makes an average nose project further than it should. No amount of nose filler corrects that because the nose was never the problem. Bringing the chin forward by a few millimetres with structural filler on bone brings the lower face to meet the nose, and the nose reads as smaller and better proportioned without being touched. Dr Nish — who has performed over 6,000 non-surgical rhinoplasties — assesses this at every consultation. In many men the answer is chin filler alone, and in most the best result is both as the Profile Balancing Package.

Typically 12–18 months, at the longer end for structural HA placed on bone in the jaw, chin, nose and cheek, because those areas barely move and the product is not worked by muscle. The under-eye lasts a similar time. Men with high training loads, high metabolic rates or heavy sun exposure may see the effect fade slightly sooner. Second treatments generally last longer than the first because some structural scaffold persists. When the effect fades a smaller top-up restores it, and because only reversible HA is used the filler can be dissolved at any point.

Most men describe pressure rather than pain. Topical anaesthetic is applied for 15–20 minutes and every filler contains lidocaine. The deep, on-bone plane used for male placement has few nerve endings, and the jaw angle is the only area some men find slightly sharp. Downtime is short: results are immediate, you can be back at work the same day, mild swelling and tenderness settle within 2–5 days, and bruising — if it happens — is easily covered or grows out with stubble. Heavy gym, boxing and contact sport should wait 48 hours (two weeks for the nose). Tight helmets and chin straps should stay off the area for two weeks.

Yes — shave the treatment area the morning of your appointment. A clean-shaven jaw, chin or cheek lets Dr Nish map the bone accurately, keeps the injection points sterile and lets the filler be assessed in movement without a beard hiding the line. For the three days after treatment, shave gently around the injection points rather than over them. Men with a beard they intend to keep are treated through it after thorough cleansing. A full beard does hide a jawline, so the mapping is done by palpation and the result assessed with the beard in mind.

Yes, and the best male programmes are combinations. Jaw and chin filler with masseter anti-wrinkle injections sharpens the edge while slimming a muscular width. Nose, chin and jaw together is the Profile Balancing Package. Jawline filler after a PDO thread lift refines the edge of a lifted jaw in men over 45 with early jowls. Filler with forehead and frown anti-wrinkle injections treats structure and expression lines in one plan. Filler and threads are usually spaced 2–4 weeks apart. Anti-wrinkle can be done on the same day. Dr Nish designs the sequence at consultation.

The same as for anyone, with two male-specific notes. Expected, temporary effects: swelling and tenderness for 2–5 days, bruising for up to a week, firmness for a few weeks as structural filler integrates. Uncommon risks: asymmetry (assessed and corrected at the 4-week review). Over-filling or a feminised look (avoided by male mapping and structural product). Migration (a soft-product problem, avoided by structural HA on bone). Infection (rare — folliculitis and shave rash are screened for, which is why a clean shave the morning of treatment matters), and a blocked blood vessel. Rare, most relevant in the nose and under-eye, minimised by deep placement, checking for blood vessels, small deposits, reversible HA and hyaluronidase on site. Warning signs are skin blanching or mottling, disproportionate pain or any change in vision, and Dr Nish provides his direct number for the first 48 hours.

Because male filler is a discipline, not a discount, and Dr Nish practises it as one. He is a medically trained doctor, a specialist in male facial filler and profile harmonisation, Brand Ambassador and Key Opinion Leader for dermal fillers with a global manufacturer, Senior International Clinical Trainer at Derma Medical where he teaches structural and male filler to other doctors.
